EverWonder Camps

Day Camps for Kids in Northern Virginia

Virginia is for Lego Lovers

Remember how in my last post I told you that my Dad helps us with our books for EverWonder?  I have a funny story about that.  First, to give you some background, my Dad is Greek… very Greek.  He immigrated to the US as a teenager, but still speaks with a thick accent and tends to mix up tenses, leave out words, etc.  He’s a great sport about it which makes him even more lovable.

My Dad, Tom Karas, with my daughter, Charlotte, and my Thea (Aunt) Mary who was visiting us from Greece last spring.

A few years ago I got a call from him.  “Moley, he said, who is this Sir Breex A Lot you wrote check to?  Is he one of your teachers?”

“Sir Brix A Lot, I explained,  is a lot like Santa Claus.  He’s the one who we rent thousands of Lego from for camp.”

“What is Lego?”

Ummm…  really?

There’s a lot more to the story, but it’s best that I get to the point which is that our campers LOVE Lego.  A few years ago we started a tradition where we hold a Lego camp the day before Thanksgiving, and this year it was no different.  We had a blast on Wednesday and here are the pictures to show it.

And, if you ever need Lego for a birthday party or another event all you need to do is go to www.brixalot.com  Brix will bring you tens of thousands of Lego and your party will surely be a huge success!

Check out these awesome pictures from camp!
