Day Camps for Kids in Northern Virginia

CampKits

August 27, 2020 UPDATE

Due to popular demand, our hands-on, self-paced CampKits are BAAACCKKK for the fall!!!!  

CampKits will be delivered and shipped. We will not offer contactless pick-up.

CampKits are $75 each for delivery and $85 each for shipment. We will also offer Everyday Materials (markers, glue sticks, scissors, glue, crayons) for an additional $20. Each CampKit contains enough materials for one child.

We will deliver and ship on the following Mondays- 10/5, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, and 12/7.

Delivery will take place between 9 am – 3 pm and must be within 10 miles of 22207.

Themes and Descriptions for our Preschool (Ages 3- 5 or K) CampKits

All kits will be available to order each week! 

Bug Bonanza

EverWonder about creepy crawlies and things that go BUZZZZ? Join us, young entomologists, as we embark on an insect safari. You’ll sing with the Itsy, Bitsy Spider, learn to code with an earthworm, build a caterpillar out of play doh and other materials, make a bug catcher, melt ice to find insects and so much more!

Come to the Castle

Hear ye, hear ye, young knights and maidens! Join us to discover enchanting dragons, honorable knights and brave princesses. You’ll make fantasy dragon eggs encrusted with jewels and stones, you’ll drink out of jewel coated goblets, you’ll build “ice” castles and you’ll even spar like the knights. Watch out, you might have to kiss a frog and so much more!

3D Art Adventures

Watch out! This art will jump off the page! Your children will create Chihouly inspired sculptures, pasta sculptures, fantasy sculptures, a shiny materials collage, a straw collage and so much more. We’ll even include 3-D glasses for the win!

Superhero STEAM

Calling all “Supers!” In this awesome CampKit you’ll explore the science, technology, engineering, art and math behind your favorite superheroes. You’ll unlock hidden superpowers, construct laser mazes, learn simple stunts, practice coding, make costumes, conduct an experiment with kryptonite, build floatation devices and so much more!

Incredible, Edible…ART!

Do you have the skills to make edible creations like sushi, mosaics, “Perler” beads and snowflakes? You’ll will have a lip-smacking good time with this CampKit! Edible materials include tortillas, fruit roll ups, Rainbow Twizzlers, Swedish Fish and Rice Krispie Treats. (All food will be in its original packaging.) Children will also collage chef hats and aprons and decorate chopsticks and take-out boxes.

3D Art Adventures

Watch out! This art will jump off the page! Your children will create Chihouly inspired sculptures, pasta sculptures, fantasy sculptures, a shiny materials collage, a straw collage, a rolled paper collage, a Starburst candy sculpture and so much more. We’ll even include 3-D glasses for the win!

Extraordinary Explorers

Journey with us, heroic adventurers, as we retrace the steps of some of the world’s greatest explorers. We’ll sail on a Viking ship with Leif Erickson and Gudrid Thorbjarndóttir, search for buried treasure with pirate explorer William Dampier, experiment with “blubber” with Arctic explorer Matthew Henson, explore the moon on space vehicles with Mae Jemison, dig for dinosaur eggs with paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews and so much more. Discover how these explorers changed the world as we know it!
